Connect with us

Tombolo Books is thrilled to announce the addition of our Middle Grade Book Club to the line up of fantastic book clubs we offer! Starting in January, the Middle Grade Book Club will meet every other month at the bookstore!

We are kicking this book club off spooky style! For our first meeting, we will be reading They Threw Us Away, a spine-tingling tale of tossed away toys and their perilous journey to find home again.

Author of They Threw Us Away and the forthcoming sequel They Stole Our Hearts, Daniel Kraus, will drop by the book club meeting virtually to chat with members and our guest moderator Ryan Whitley (Tombolo's Horror Book Club Moderator) about both books! Members are encouraged to come with questions and thoughts about the book to share with the author!

About Tombolo's Middle Grade Book Club and how to participate:

Tombolo's Middle Grade Book Club is ideal for young readers ages 8-12. We will read a range of middle grade fiction, including graphic novels, selected by our brilliant children's book buyer, Amanda Hurley! We will meet at Tombolo Books every other month to discuss the latest pick and will often be joined by guest speakers! Caregivers are welcome to join in on the book club fun with their young readers as well!

Middle Grade Book Club is open to everyone! We ask that members read the books ahead of book club so that they can join in on the conversation! All book club books will be available to purchase at Tombolo Books, but if you already have a copy of the book, you are still welcome to join that month's discussion!
