Rockovate 2025 benefits Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital
Velera Credit Union’s 11th Annual Rockovate charity concert benefiting Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital takes place Friday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Quaker Steak & Lube, 10400 49th Street N., Clearwater.
In addition to live music by Rockovate (Velera’s employee band), guests will be treated to a live auction, a 50/50 drawing and various raffle items.
Every dollar raised goes directly to support All Children’s Hospital’s life-saving pediatric care and research.

Pinellas Trail Native Tree Planting
The aim of MAR (More Action for Regeneration) is to empower communities and individuals to take collaborative action that regenerates ecosystems, improves well-being and reconnects people with nature to create lasting, meaningful change.

Volunteers are needed for MAR’s Pinellas Trail Native Tree Planting – Phase 4, Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Folly Farm Nature Preserve, 666 49th Street S., St. Petersburg.
It is recommended for volunteers to wear closed toe shoes and bring sunscreen, a hat, gloves and a reusable water bottle. Anyone 14 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Humble Beginnings hosts Essential Packs Charitable Event
Humble Beginnings, founded by Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Marquez Reshard Valdes-Scantling, provides those who are less fortunate and under-housed with essential products and services.

The organization is hosting a charitable community event at Daystar Life Center, Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Volunteers are needed in the following categories: barbers, nurses, health screening professionals, food distribution, set-up and clean-up crew, transportation services and clothing and personal item distribution.
Daystar Life Center is located at 1055 28th Street S., St. Petersburg.

Deuces Live Cleanup
Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Deuces Live are hosting a cleanup along the Deuces Corner in St. Petersburg, Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes such as boots or sneakers, sun protection and weather appropriate clothing. Cleanup supplies will be provided. A water refill station will be available.
Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The meetup location is St. Petersburg College, Cecil B. Keene Achievement Center,1048 22nd Street S., St. Petersburg. Carpooling is encouraged.

Dinner and Duds Holiday Toy Drive
Dinner and Duds for the Homeless is sponsoring its 10th Annual Holiday Toy Drive to provide new and used toys and gifts for homeless and disadvantaged children ages 2-17. Gently used clothing is also welcome, as well as grocery store and fast-food gift cards for families.

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 15 and can be picked up or dropped off. Signup for toys begins Nov. 30.
