A Very Karol Christmas to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Tampa Bay
The Karol Hotel in Clearwater is hosting A Very Karol Christmas Monday, Dec. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the hotel’s Vantage Rooftop Bar.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, whose mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth, and to ensure that all youth achieve their full potential.
The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, an adult hot cocoa bar, a dessert display, a holiday raffle and a silent auction. Festive cocktail attire is encouraged. Attendees must be 21 and over.
The Karol Hotel is located at 2675 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater.

Volunteer for Gulfport’s Monthly Beyond the Beach Cleanup
Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Gulfport Grassroots Saturday, Dec. 13 from 9 until 11 a.m. for a cleanup to help keep Gulfport litter-free.

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, sun protection and weather-appropriate clothing. Cleanup supplies will be provided. A water refill station will be available. All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
The group will meet at Shelter 4 on Gulfport Beach, 5730 Shore Blvd. S., Gulfport.
Cleanup at the Pier

We Belong Here and The Blue Urban Project are joining together to host a cleanup at the St. Pete Pier and surrounding areas, Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The cleanup follows a weekend event at the Pier.
Volunteers will assist in collecting stray items such as wristbands, cups and festival-related debris to help restore the shoreline and surrounding walkways.

Dunedin Goes Carting fundraiser
The annual Dunedin Goes Carting Christmas Golf Cart Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 20 beginning at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from registration fees goes to VFW Post 2550 to help fund programs and services for local veterans.

The event will feature holiday music, food, drinks and performances. The parade begins at VFW Post 2550, 360 Douglas Ave., Dunedin and will wind through downtown and the Mease Life Loop.
Registration is $20 plus fees.

Pet Volunteers Needed
AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking certified animals to visit with patients and families throughout Pinellas County. Pets can be certifiable through any agency, if the agency provides a behavioral assessment, liability insurance and annual certification.
Patient visits can be coordinated close to the pet owner’s home or office. Scheduling is flexible.

All AccentCare volunteers must be 18 and over, are subject to a driver’s license and background check and are required to attend an orientation.
