Support youth arts at the Beer Breakfast event
A St. Petersburg-based nonprofit known for its commitment to empowering young people is hosting an upcoming fundraising event, offering the community a way to support its programming and give back.
Founded in 2012, Arts Conservatory for Teens (ACT) has a mission of providing equitable access to high-level arts education for students. The nonprofit will host its annual Beer Breakfast event Saturday, March 1, at Mandarin Hide in downtown St. Petersburg.

Summer camp assistants needed
The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is recruiting now for its summer camp assistants. Volunteers can help staff with facilitating arts and crafts, STEM activities, group games, literacy and Spelling Bee activities, team building activities and preparing daily curriculum.
Volunteers can sign up for flexible hours based on their availability. Summer Camp activities take place during weekdays from June to August.

Support animals and kids with Parents’ Night Out
Volunteer at the Sanderlin Center
For more than 33 years, the James B. Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center has served as a beacon of light in the South St. Pete community, dedicated to empowering individuals and families. The Sanderlin Center offers a variety of programs to foster educational success and family well-being.
The center is currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:
- Food pantry assistance
- Tutors and enrichment specialists
- Garden helpers
- Maintenance support (specifically A/C, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work)

Internship opportunity with the Teen Mom Project
The Teen Mom Project, located in St. Petersburg, assists teenage mothers by providing comprehensive support to help them transition into motherhood and achieve self-sufficiency. The nonprofit’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty, enhance teen moms’ quality of life and equip them with skills, resources and opportunities to thrive as confident individuals and capable parents.
The Teen Mom Project is searching for a Program Coordinator. The unpaid internship is a remote opportunity with the possibility of some in-person meetings. It spans spring from February through April and resumes in the fall from August through November. The internship commitment comprises 10-15 hours per week and academic credit is available.
