If you’re searching for a way to give back to your community, the Catalyst’s Impact Connector is here to help. Each week, we feature five organizations in the Tampa Bay area that need your input, whether that’s time, talent, items, funding or simply awareness. We’re certain you’ll find something here that matches your interests and will positively impact the community.

Play your part in bringing art to our community

The Studio@620, a local arts venue, needs front-of-house volunteers to help at upcoming shows. Responsibilities include checking in guests and managing hospitality offerings. Learn more and sign up for a shift on the venue’s website.

Clean up the EDGE District

Join Sans Market’s 7th annual Earth Day Clean Up. Volunteers are needed April 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help clean the streets of St. Pete’s EDGE District. Clean up gear will be provided by Keep Pinellas Beautiful. Last year, more than 200 volunteers picked up over 450 lbs of trash off the street of St. Pete. Sign up in advance by calling or texting (727) 332-7000.

Help find Dolly a loving home

Three 13-week-old Australian Cattle Dog mixes recently came to Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg; two have been adopted, but one is still looking for a home. “It makes me sick that Dolly is in the shelter alone,” a volunteer told the Catalyst.

All of Pet Pal’s adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. The adoption fee is $250 for dogs (unless stated otherwise). Learn more about Dolly here and visit Pel Pal Animal Shelter at 405 22nd St. S. to meet Dolly and apply to adopt her.

Sea Turtle Awareness Day & Lake Cleanup

Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s Sea Turtle Nesting Team April 6 for a lake cleanup. Get the chance to learn about sea turtle conservation and how you can help the sea turtle population. This Sea Turtle Awareness Day event will include raffle prizes, the opportunity to personalize a sea turtle nesting stake, photo opportunities and much more. Get the details and register here.

Become a Pinellas County Schools mentor
