Pathfinder ‘Old Florida Soiree’ Fundraiser
Pathfinder Outdoor Education is a St. Petersburg nonprofit organization whose mission is to deliver fun, challenging adventures that help people learn about themselves, others and the environment.
Through hands-on, interactive programs focusing on teamwork, trust and empathy, the organization reaches over 6,000 participants annually, believing that nature is the best classroom for learning self-awareness and leadership skills.
On Saturday, May 30 from 7 until 10:30 p.m., Pathfinder is hosting its annual “Old Florida Soiree” fundraiser at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club. Tickets are $40 and include food provided by Wild Child, one drink ticket, open shuffleboard and live music.
Proceeds will support Pathfinder’s Youth Scholarship Fund, helping to provide Florida’s youth with experiential education. Scholarships cover both individual participants and low-income groups, like nonprofits and public schools, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to engage in Pathfinder’s unique outdoor programs.

St. Pete Eco Club Monthly Meeting
The St. Pete Eco Club gathers every month to inspire action and build solutions around the issues that matter most in our community. The Club focuses on energy, water, food, waste and ecology while creating space for neighbors to share ideas, learn together and make a real impact.
The next meeting will be held Thursday, June 4 at Outcast Brewing Company in St. Petersburg from 7 until 9 p.m.
Participants will learn about sustainability, how to contribute to community change, volunteer opportunities and upcoming projects.

Clearwater Garden Club Workday
The Clearwater Garden Club, in partnership with Keep Pinellas Beautiful, is hosting a hands-on day at the garden Saturday, June 13 from 9 a.m. until noon.
Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks including transplanting plants, starting propagated plants in pots and germinating seeds. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just love being outdoors, it’s an opportunity to get your hands in the soil, meet fellow gardeners, and help cultivate a space that the community can enjoy.
Volunteers under the age of 18 need to be signed in by a parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.
Closed toe shoes, long sleeves, a hat, sunglass and a refillable water bottle are recommended. All supplies and tools will be provided.

Office support for Hero To A Child
For over 35 years, Hero To A Child has transformed the lives of children and youth in the child welfare system. Through strong partnerships with service providers throughout the community, it works hard to address the challenges of foster care and meet the needs of children in its care.
Hero To A Child is are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help with office tasks and client outreach. Volunteers will assist with writing thank-you notes and cards to supporters, donors and partners; reaching out to clients via phone, email or mail; and helping with general office tasks as needed.
Volunteers are asked to commit to at least two to five hours per week.

Westminster Palms seeks student volunteers
Westminster Palms, a Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking volunteers to assist senior residents in a variety of ways. Volunteering is ideal for students looking for experience in senior living, gerontology, health related fields, computer and technical assistance and life enrichment activities.
It’s also a great way for students to meet senior residents with diverse backgrounds, share life experiences and learn together.
Westminster Palms offer year-around or seasonal volunteering opportunities and hours are flexible. Onsite training is provided.
