Cats & Canvas: benefiting Full of Cattitude
Clearwater Community Volunteers is hosting Cats & Canvas – a painting party to benefit Tampa Bay’s Full of Cattitude Cat Rescue– Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 133 North Fort Harrison Avenue, Clearwater.
Full of Cattitude rescues stray cats and kittens, provides medical evaluation and treatment if necessary and places them with foster parents or adoption centers to find their forever homes.
Guests will be provided with a full painting kit. Refreshments will be served.

Azalea Park Planting
Join the City of St. Petersburg and Keep Pinellas Beautiful Saturday, Aug. 9 to assist with creating a no-mow zone to promote biodiversity, conserve water and provide food and habitat for local wildlife.
Volunteers will meet at Azalea Park, 1600 72nd Street N., St. Petersburg at 8:30 a.m.
Volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes such as hiking boots or sneakers. Hats, sunglasses and protective gear are recommended. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Women’s Unity Gala
Boss Babes Sisterhood Tampa is hosting their first-ever Women’s Unity Charity Gala, Saturday, Aug. 16 from 6 until 10 p.m. at the Galaxy Hotel, 101 3rd Avenue N., St. Petersburg.
Upon arrival, guests will have the opportunity to choose one of three charities to support: I Support the Girls Tampa Bay, Children’s Home Network and Florida Farm School Animal Rescue.
General admission tickets start at $53 and include live entertainment, a gourmet dinner and dessert, an immersive art gallery and luxury auction items. Sponsorship and VIP tables are also available.

Coachman Park Butterfly Garden Workday
The City of Clearwater Parks & Recreation needs volunteers to help staff tend to the Florida-native butterfly garden at Coachman Park.
Volunteers will be weeding and helping out with other tasks as needed.
Shifts are available Wednesday, Aug. 27 and Wednesday, Sept. 24 starting at 8 a.m. Gloves, trowels and other supplies will be provided; volunteers are encouraged to bring their own if available.

Florida CraftArt seeking retail volunteers
Florida CraftArt is a member-supported, nonprofit organization exclusively focused on Florida original fine crafts. Volunteers are needed to work in the retail gallery at 501 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg.
Weekdays and weekend shifts are available and training will be provided. A background check is required prior to onboarding.
Volunteer perks include supporting a local nonprofit cultural organization, meeting artists, being among the first to see what’s new and 10% off retail gallery purchases.
