Florida Funders invests in Google-backed AI platform

Tampa-based Florida Funders, a hybrid of a venture capital fund and an angel investor network, announced its investment in Satisfi Labs, a conversational AI platform for sports teams, attractions and events. 

Florida Funders has invested in Satisfi Labs’ 3MM Series A round from the Florida Funders’ Fund 2 LLC. Previous investors for the startup include Google, Tampa Bay Lightning Owner Jeff Vinik’s Vinik Sports Group, Techstars and the Major League Baseball. 

New York-based Satisfi Labs creates answer engines that manage teams of expert AI-powered assistants, allowing companies to provide the most relevant and accurate responses to customers, on-demand and in real time.

Satisfi Labs is leading the way and harnessing knowledge management, and conversational AI to provide unparalleled breadth and depth of capabilities,” Tom Wallace, Managing Partner at Florida Funders, said in a news release. “Florida Funders is excited to back Satisfi Labs and make conversational AI scalable for companies across sectors.”

Satisfi Labs’ clients include Orlando’s Universal Studios, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Zoo and Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.  

Last year, Satisfi expanded its voice-enabled abilities with Google to enhance the MLB fan experience at home and during in-person sporting events. The expansion allowed fabs to have conversations with teams such as the Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays and others.

Florida Funders’ investment will support Satisfi Labs’ hiring efforts, operations and expansion of product offerings, specifically voice commerce.
