Give Day Tampa Bay 2017 was a smashing success. In its fourth year, the single day fundraising effort raised more than $1.75 million for Tampa Bay non-profits from over 10,000 donors. Give Day Tampa Bay 2018 is looking even brighter. This online fundraising effort hosted by the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay is one of the largest single charitable giving days of the year. This year, the Community Foundation wants everyone to share the love.

Give Day Tampa Bay, in its fifth year, falls on May 1st, but the deadline to register a non-profit organization for Give Day is coming up quickly – April 17th – just over one week away. Give Day Tampa Bay showcases the wide variety of non-profit organizations doing excellent work in Tampa Bay and provides an “opportunity for nonprofits to leverage the collective marketing power behind the challenge in order to engage their donors, attract new ones, and increase awareness about their missions,” said Marlene Spalten, President and CEO of the Community Foundation in a press release.

The Community Foundation comes to the table with a large donor pool, many of whom are looking for the perfect organization to direct their funds. On Give Day, the Community Foundation is able to match potential donors with non-profits based on how their values and interests align with that non-profit’s mission. All proceed (aside from a small credit card processing fee) go directly to the selected non-profit.

Individuals and companies alike are encouraged to give (even as little as $5, $10, or $25) on May 1st, or to work with a non-profit to match funds raised on Give Day.

Interested in giving? Team up with the Community Foundation to find the right non-profit for your gift.
