The St. Pete Beach home of former doubles tennis champion Mike Byron sold Aug. 21 for $2.35 million.

Located at 151 Punta Vista Drive, the 2,182-square-foot residence was built in 1990 and sits on a 0.20-acre Boca Ciega Bay waterfront lot. It was first listed in April for $2.6 million and featured April 10 in The Wall Street Journal’s “House of the Week.”

Bryon and his twin brother, Bob, retired from tennis in 2020 following 16 Grand Slam and 119 ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) titles, and winning the gold medal in men’s doubles at the 2012 London Olympics.

The three-story home features an open-concept layout with double-height cathedral ceilings, timber beams, new flooring, a redesigned kitchen and upgraded bathrooms. The primary suite on the upper floor includes a red-light therapy room, an ensuite bath with a freestanding soaking tub, and a staircase leading to an attic-level play area with a hammock and built-in ball pit.

Outdoors are a nine-person hot tub, a firepit and a deep-water dock with a 26-foot walkway and a 10-foot by 12-foot platform with a built-in bench, swim ladder and dual mooring arms.

Additional highlights include a split-roof design, an air-conditioned bonus room on the lower level, five balconies, lush landscaping and 75 feet of bay waterfrontage.

Byron purchased the home under the registered name Beyond The Baseline Coaching, LLC in 2024 for $1.9 million. Johane Bucaille and Daniel Francis with Coldwell Banker Realty were the listing agents. Dawn Liedtke with Redfin Corporation was the buyer’s agent.

Tyrone Veterinary Hospital property for sale

Property occupied by Tyrone Veterinary Hospital at 3451 Tyrone Boulevard N., St. Petersburg, has listed for $1.4 million.

Now owned by Mission Pet Health, the veterinary practice has served the St. Petersburg area for over 59 years. Mission Pet Health has over eight years remaining on its 15-year triple-net lease, which includes two-percent rent increases every year and one option to renew for another five years.

The one-story, 3,500-square-foot structure was built in 1965 and renovated in 1985 and 2010. The Landlord takes care of the structure and roof, and the tenant is responsible for all taxes, utilities and insurance.

The medical office building is situated on a 0.28-acre lot providing parking for approximately 15 vehicles. It sits on a major thoroughfare which sees a traffic count of over 30,000 vehicles per day.

The seller purchased the property in 1990 for $242,000. William Skoch and Christopher Mitchel with Marcus & Millichap are the seller’s agents.

Redington Beach residence lists for $7.4 million

A four-story waterfront Redington Beach home at 15908 Gulf Boulevard has entered the market with an asking price of $7.4 million. Built in 2019, it features five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half-bath across 5,615 square feet of living space.

Upon entering the residence, a foyer with a 36-foot ceiling leads to the main living area with 30 feet of sliding glass doors offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico. The open kitchen is equipped with stainless-steel Miele appliances, two-tone cabinetry and granite and quartz countertops. The primary suite occupies an entire side of the home and features an expansive walk-in closet and an ensuite bath with dual vanities, separate water closets, a soaking tub and a walk-in shower.

Upstairs are three Gulf-front bedrooms, two with ensuite baths. A fifth bedroom is currently being used as an office. Also on this level are a media room with a 120-inch screen and a Sony projector, and a large laundry room.

The seller, represented by Phillip Pendley, Jr. with The Seaside Real Estate Store, LLC, purchased the property in 2017 for $2.08 million.

Clearwater turn-key child care facility and land for sale

The Bumble & Bloom Early Learning Center, at 3130 N. McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater, has listed for $1.30 million. The sale includes the business operations; all furniture, fixtures and equipment; and the underlying real estate.

The childcare facility currently has 37 full-time enrollments with one full-time director and staff. The operator recently signed a ten year lease which can be terminated upon closing.

The primary building has 3,133 heated square feet and a smaller building provides 1,872 square feet. The structures, built in 1965 and 1991, respectively, are separated by the school’s fenced-in playground. Each is built with a conventional classroom layout but offers the flexibility to be used as office or storage space.

The 0.59-acre parcel of land is located in a densely populated Clearwater/Safety Harbor submarket and sees approximately 55,000 vehicles per day.

The seller, under the registered name 91 East Park, Inc., acquired the property in 2023 for $2.13 million.

Pink Streets home immediately sells

Listed in July for $3.5 million, a 5,143-square-foot residence at 1200 Friendly Way S., in the Greater Pinellas Point neighborhood of St. Petersburg, sold Aug. 24 for $3.3 million.

Built in 1973 and extensively renovated in 2021, the three-story waterfront home is situated on a 0.36-acre parcel of land. Inside are six bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bath.

The first level features two living areas, a chef’s kitchen with a separate prep kitchen and two guest suites, each with its own ensuite bath.

Upstairs is the primary suite, one guest room and one full bath. A great room with a covered balcony provides panoramic views of Tampa Bay and the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Another living area is located on the top level, including a coffee bar, two additional bedrooms and a shared full bath.

Outside are an inground pool and spa, a new dock with a 10,000-pound boatlift and 92 feet of bay waterfrontage.

The seller, represented by Bobby Poth with Mainframe Real Estate, purchased the home in 2020 for $1.18 million. Joey Hutchinson with Duncan Real Estate was the buyer’s agent.

Castille at Carillon office complex changes ownership

The sale of Castille at Carillon, a two-building office complex built in 1999 at 400 and 450 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, closed Aug. 19 for $19.5 million.

Situated within the Carillon Park mixed-use business park, the two structures, one with three stories and the other with four, offer 104,897 square feet of rentable office space. The average office size is 4,100 square feet. The buildings were 93% leased to 21 tenants at the time of the sale.

Also situated on the 4.32-acre property is a two-level, 96,000-square-foot parking garage which is able to accommodate approximately 400 vehicles.

The seller, a joint venture between Feldman Equities and Tower Realty Partners, acquired the property under the registered name Castille at Carillon in 2002 for $10 million. Since 2020, it had invested more than $1.8 million in capital improvements, including renovations to the lobbies, restrooms and common areas, HVAC upgrades and parking garage improvements.

Joe Chick, Christine Mansour and Chris DeMartino of Foundry Commercial represented the seller. The buyer, ESN Group, LLC is a Nevada limited liability company.
