What do you do?

I help you to feel, look and live better by guiding you through grounding and accessible yoga, offered weekdays at 8 a.m. in Crescent Lake Park, privately across St. Pete and on YouTube.

Why do you do it?

Yoga healed me from the inside out, literally. I feel a divine call to guide others who are seeking a holistic path to their natural well-being and to a life filled with peace, satisfaction and joy.

What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)

Before yoga, I was constantly reacting to the outside world without realizing it was reflecting my inner world. That disconnection led to relationship struggles, physical disease and emotional overwhelm. Now, I’m married to my best friend, enjoy vibrant health and feel high on life thanks to my devotion to this incredible practice.

What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?

Many people think yoga is just stretching or a good way to burn calories. I shared that belief as well when I first stepped into a class over a decade ago. In truth, yoga is a full-spectrum practice of aligning mind, body and spirit. It reminds us that every answer we seek is already within. Through regular meditation, conscious breath and intentional movement, we begin to release the resistance that holds us back from living our dream life. That said, if you’re in it for a good stretch or sweat, that’s perfectly fine. Whatever brings you joy is enough.

What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?

Avoiding the hustle mindset altogether. In a past business, I pushed myself to the point of burnout. Now, I teach yoga because I want people to experience a different way of living. When we slow down, breathe, and trust, we begin to see that things are already working out. The magic happens when we let ourselves enjoy the process instead of chasing the end result.

What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?

Building a business is just like building any other relationship: Show up. Believe in it. Allow it grow naturally. Celebrate the wins, no matter how small you perceive them to be. And most importantly, have fun! At the end of the day, I believe it’s important to realize that there’s nothing too serious going on here. Holding that mindset allows you to move through bumps in the road with curiosity, integrity and optimism.

Is there anything more important than your own well-being?

No. You can only uplift others when you’ve cared for yourself first. If you’re reading this and that hits a nerve, come practice with me. Be the change you wish to see: someone who feels good, looks good and lives well. That’s how we rise together as one big human family.
