Places This Week: An Intracoastal and Gulf-front estate

An Indian Rocks Beach estate situated on a 0.30-acre plot of land in between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf of Mexico has listed with a sales price of $10.9 million.

Built in 2003, the three-story home, located at 34 Gulf Boulevard, features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half-bath across 5,748 square feet of living space.

The open-concept great room on the main level offers LED lighting, an 80-inch fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows and waterfront terraces. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with Bertazzoni, Fisher & Paykel and Thermador appliances; white marble countertops; dual islands; a six-burner gas range with a griddle; and an entertainment bar with a wine refrigerator, beverage center and ice-maker.

All of the bedrooms feature ensuite baths, including the master bedroom, which is located on the top floor and designed with a sitting room, morning bar, dual closets and retracting glass doors that open to a private terrace.

Interior highlights include wide-plank hardwood flooring, a private office, laundry rooms with new washers and dryers on both the main and upper floors, new motorized window treatments, a tankless water heater and a three-stop elevator.

On the lower level is a six-car attached garage which is pre-wired for two electric vehicle charging stations.

Outside is a saltwater pool and spa, a covered lanai and a new kitchen with a gas grill, ice maker, refrigerators and quartzite countertops. A private dock with a 20,000-pound boat lift sits across the street in the Intracoastal Waterway.

The seller, represented by Richard Grant and Gregory Schreiber with Keller Williams Realty – Palm Harbor, purchased the property in 2024 for $10.5 million.

St. Petersburg Holiday Inn for sale

The Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West at 1200 34th Street N. in St. Petersburg has entered the market for $19 million. The seller, NexGen Hotels, an Illinois hotel development and management company, acquired the asset in 2023 for $18.75 million. It is being managed by Genuine Hospitality Group, based in St. Louis.

The three-story property was built in 2000 and is situated on 3.41 acres of land. It is a brand of IHG Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel offers 129 rooms across 73,255 square feet. Accommodations include a combination of standard rooms with queen or king-size beds and one-bedroom suites.

Onsite are a resort-style outdoor heated pool, fitness center, dedicated meeting space, a 24-hour business center, a grab-and-go market, and the 34th North Bar & Grill.

The property is listed by Ahmed Kabani and Suraj Dalal with Miami’s Kabani Hotel Group.

Chick Corea’s former home sells

Listed in May for $2.5 million, the former Clearwater residence of legendary jazz and Latin fusion artist Chick Corea, at 2124 Laurence Drive, sold August 14 for $2 million. Corea passed away from cancer in 2021 at the age of 79. He owned the property with his second wife, pianist and songwriter Gayle Moran.

Built in 1985, the three-story home sits on 1.88 acres. It offers five bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and one half-bath spread across 8,684 square feet of living space.

The main level features a great room with vaulted Cathedral ceilings and a brick fireplace, a library with a high-end sound system, and an office with soaring ceilings and stained glass windows. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with Viking and Sub-Zero appliances and a large center island with an eat-in bar. Additional spaces include a dedicated dining room, family room and a screened-in porch.

All of the bedrooms are on the upper floor, including the primary suite designed with a fireplace, his-and-her closets, a balcony overlooking the backyard, and an ensuite bath with a walk-in shower and a free-standing bathtub. An exercise room, laundry facilities and a kitchenette complete this level.

Also on the property is a 1,080-square-foot three-car garage and a detached 550-square-foot studio. A saltwater pool surrounded by a red brick deck sits in the back.

Corea purchased the home in 1997 for $825,000. Terri Novitsky with Lauren Michaels Real Estate Partners was both the listing and buyer’s agent.

Three-parcel Clearwater Beach vacation rental sells

The sale of a portfolio of five buildings with 11 vacation rental units across three parcels of land at 628, 640 and 644 Mandalay Avenue, Clearwater was recorded Aug. 17 for a consideration of $4.25 million. The asset was listed for sale in October 2025 for $5.5 million.

628 Mandalay Avenue is a three building property with five living units across a combined 2,758 square feet. Two of the structures were built in 1935 and one in 1939. They are situated on a 0.19-acre plot of land.

640 Mandalay Avenue is a one-building, two-story property with four units across 3,432 square feet. It was built in 1947 and sits on a 0.05-acre parcel.

644 Mandalay Avenue was built as a single-family home in 1926 and converted into two living units across 1,136 square feet. It sits on a land area of 0.04 acres.

Each of the units has its own outdoor living space, and a center courtyard offers a gazebo, hot tubs, a deck and a grill. The entire portfolio is just steps away from Clearwater Beach.

The seller purchased all three parcels under the registered name Mandalay Clearwater, LLC in 2006 for $2.2 million. Karen Henry with Viewpoint Realty International was the listing agent.

Vacant St. Petersburg turn-key opportunity

Located at 8440 4th Street N., on one of St. Petersburg’s busiest commercial corridors, a 4,850 square foot free-standing commercial building has listed for $2.25 million.

Tarpon Springs retail property for sale

A two-building retail property at 903 S. Pinellas Avenue, Tarpon Springs has listed for $575,000. Together the two concrete once-story buildings comprise 2,720 heated square feet.

Structure 1, built in 1954, provides 1,320 heated square feet and is occupied by Discount Smoke. The tenant has two years remaining under its current lease.

Structure 2, with 1,400 heated square feet, was built in 1972 and is currently vacant. The last tenant to occupy the space was Yankee Bean restaurant. Some restaurant fixtures are included with the sale.

The 0.17-acre lot offers ample parking and benefits from prominent signage and high visibility on Alt-U.S. 19.
