Two local millennials have re-engineered the way homeowners tackle their everyday household repairs through a new technology platform Kwidos. This web-based marketplace connects homeowners directly with home improvement professionals to solve any project.
With nearly a decade of experience in the construction industry, Vlad Karymsakov wanted to eliminate the traditional costly third-party platforms while improving the local workforce with a new approach to generate business. He partnered with his long-time friend Dmitrii Isac, who has extensive experience in IT management, to create the marketplace.
“We’re completely changing the way home improvement is done,” Karymsakov said. “We’re offering homeowners convivence and peace of mind to know their projects will be completed. And we’re helping to impact the local construction workforce to generate new business.”
Kwidos is a secure platform that allows homeowners to list their home improvement projects for free and receive bids from licensed construction and home improvement professionals. Once the project is listed, contractors can submit a bid for the requested service without the hassle of paying for leads and having the uncertainty of receiving new business.
“Being able to launch this platform locally just feels right,” Isac said. “People are moving to the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg area daily and this platform fits right in. Kwidos is like Uber or Grub hub but for the home improvement industry.”
As a layer of protection, Kwidos monitors the conversations, establishes an agreement and receives the payment on the platform. This convenience eliminates the fears of incomplete projects by contractors and untimely payment by homeowners. Additional features include:
Direct exchange of service request and bid offers from homeowners and contractors
Digitally signed service agreement
Secure online payments
Instant chat and more
