Carroway + Rose creates innovative communications platforms for some of the region's most creative small businesses and innovative artists. Lending their own unique aesthetic and professional sensibilities to the region’s burgeoning creative scene, the agency develops and delivers distinctive and impactful advertising, public relations and digital marketing services to tell the unique stories of each of their clients. Working alongside leaders from throughout the region's business and artistic communities, the agency seeks to harness the dialogue found at the crossroads of business and art into a new and mutually rewarding professional paradigm. Carroway + Rose founders sit on numerous philanthropic and professional leadership boards in the markets they serve and the agency dedicates 11 percent of its earnings to local arts organizations. In addition to their Saint Petersburg office, the agency maintains strong relationships and client relationships in the artistic hubs of Santa Fe and Charleston.

Founder & Creative Director
James brings nearly 20 years experience in creative writing, media relations, corporate positioning, executive visibility, and brand management to his role as Founder and Creative Director at Carroway + Rose. In his position, James manages integrated communications campaigns that incorporate public relations, advertising and social media for clients and leads the strategic development and business growth of the agency. Prior to co-founding Carroway + Rose, James worked for award winning agencies in New York City, Chicago, Charleston and Santa Fe, where his experience extended across multiple business sectors including the arts, real estate, healthcare, travel & tourism, and financial services. He has been responsible for directing public relations programs for some of the country’s leading brands, including Johnson & Johnson,, Abbott Laboratories, SCHOTT Solar, Scottrade, Duke University and The Bank of New York. He has also taken a leading role in progressing the communications aims for several art museums and foundations, including the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, The Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, The Art Institute of Chicago and dozens of local galleries across the country. Since his arrival in the St. Petersburg region in 2019, he has continued his history of supporting local non-profits for the arts, such as the Dr. Carter G. Woodson Museum, Abstract Art for Autism, the arts collective ArtJones and the Enroy Foundation, to name just a few.
