Through programs such as ropes courses, canoeing and tree climbing, Pathfinder brings together people from all walks of life to provide them with a unique, experiential education. Pathfinder’s truly inclusive programs are designed to be able to be completed by students of all ages and abilities, each of whom brings a diverse perspective to the experience. With nature as the classroom and Pathfinder’s talented instructors as the teachers, students learn invaluable skills of self-confidence, leadership, communication, responsibility and other skills that will empower them long after their time at Pathfinder.

Founded in 1993, Pathfinder Outdoor Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to building personal, social and environmental responsibility through the power of shared experience. They offer fun and safe experiential educational programs that develop leadership, increase self-confidence and enhance communication through trust and team building activities. Canoeing, high ropes and outdoor living skills are just a few of the ways participants can collaborate to work on problem-solving, resolving conflict, listening, observing and working effectively in a group. Pathfinder Outdoor Education facilitates programs for over 5,000 participants each year throughout the state of Florida. They work with their clients to create a program that meets their group goals, budget and calendar. They can facilitate anything from half-day programs to four-day/three-night field trips. They work with all ages and any type of group - school groups (both students and faculty), corporate groups and other non-profits.

Pathfinder Outdoor Education has been accredited by the Association for Experiential Education since 1998. and it is the only AEE accredited organization in Florida.

Company Leadership
Co-Executive Director
Sherry Bagley currently serves as the Co-Executive Director of Pathfinder Outdoor Education. Her professional journey has been as diverse as her personal interests and passions. She has worked as a caterer, environmental consultant, home health care aid, tugboat captain, camp director and Secretary for the AEE Board of Directors. She is a proud mother of two kiddos, whom she raises with her firefighter husband. During her years with Pathfinder, she has been a Facilitator, Safety Coordinator, Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid Trainer, Science Teacher, Tree Climbing Facilitator and American Canoe Association Instructor.
