For 20 years, PODS’ simple, customer-friendly solutions have remained innovative forces in the moving and storage industry. In direct opposition to traditional moving vans and rented trucks, PODS has made moving and storage much less stressful with a container that’s controlled by the customer and moved by the company. These white containers, emblazoned with the fire-engine red PODS logo, have become synonymous with customer autonomy, convenience and efficiency, even before such values gained the importance they have today.

Profile
Operating in 48 states, Canada and Australia, PODS offers three different sizes of portable storage containers: Seven, 12 and 16 feet. Obtaining and using a PODS container is remarkably simple - once the customer orders, the empty, size-specific container is delivered by the company. Customers then pack it however they want, whenever they want. Finally, customers choose to have PODS store the container at one of the 230 Storage Centers (in North America), or move the container virtually anywhere they want.

Company Leadership
Chief Executive Officer and President
John B. Koch graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor's of Science and a Master of Science in systems engineering. Mr. Koch’s career spans more than 25 years in marketing, operations and corporate general management. Mr. Koch was previously President of ADT North America's Residential/Small Business division. Prior to joining ADT, he was President of wireline services at Alltel, holding responsibilities for local telephone, long distance, Internet, broadband data and directory operations.
