Former Publix building sells
A building that once housed St. Petersburg’s first-ever Publix supermarket, which opened in 1950, has sold.

The Go Getters LLC entity sold the property at 1720 16th St. N. to an individual for $2.471 million.
The 9,173-square-foot retail building currently houses a Family Dollar store, which has a long-term lease, according to a listing.
The property was previously listed for $2.527 million.
Shore Acres spec home sells for over $6.5 million
A spec home built in 2022 has sold in a $6.55 million deal.
St. Petersburg-based West Central Design Build constructed the 6,050-square-foot home at 4219 Bayshore Blvd. NE.

The home has a Spanish Hacienda design, making it appear as a custom home versus a traditional spec home, said Dania Perry, an agent with Century 21 who represented the sellers. The home was relisted on the market for 30 days before it sold.
Inside the five-bedroom home, its expansive windows boast views of the waterfront.
The living room and dining area feature 13-foot-high vaulted beam ceilings, a gas fireplace and an elevator. There’s also a climate-controlled wine wall, according to the listing.
The property includes a pool with fire features, a dock and a boat lift.
The property was previously listed for $6.75 million.

Redington Shores estate sells
The estate at 18224 Sunset Blvd. has fetched a $5.775 million sale.
The 4,461-square-foot, four-bedroom home was built in 2020.

The beachfront estate has wood floors throughout, quartz interior stairs, an elevator and a private guest suite. It also features a lanai and pool, according to the listing.
It was previously listed for $6.195 million.

Home of St. Pete author hits the market
A home in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood, previously owned by author Dennis Lehane, best known for the Mystic River and Shutter Island novels, is now on the market.

The 2,586-square-foot home at 1330 Cherry St. NE, located on a corner lot, was built in 1919. Lehane purchased the home in 2007 for $590,000 and sold it for $460,000 in 2011, according to Pinellas County property records.
The home is listed for roughly $1.65 million.
The four-bedroom bungalow boasts high vaulted ceilings with artistic wood detailing, refurbished hardwood floors, a renovated kitchen and bathrooms, a wood-burning fireplace and a large screened-in front porch, according to the listing.
