Places This Week: Tierra Verde home listed at $7.25M

A 4-bedroom, 4.5 bath property, located at 814 Columbus Drive in the Tierra Verde neighborhood, has just listed for $7.25 million. With over 5,000 square feet of space, this home features French-patterned brushed and chiseled marble floors throughout, crown molding, wide baseboards and walls of glass showcasing the outside views and spaces.

The great room provides a fireplace and mantle surrounded by cast stone and wood built-ins, a beverage center, ice maker and handmade ceiling accents. The kitchen features all Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, gas cooking, and plenty of work space for several chefs.

Three bedrooms are on the main floor, each with adjoining bathrooms, along with a study with six-piece crown moldings. Southside service station listed 

A 2,182 square-foot service station located at 901 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street S. has listed for sale for $799,000. The property is situated across the street from Historic Roser Park and is the closest gas station to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

The property sits on a 10,000+ square-foot lot in a high traffic area. The retail store has an open floor plan with the ability to extend after renovations. A drive-through, which was previously closed off, can be added back on.

New developments in the area include a 26-unit structure being built by Innovation Town Homes and a 21-story tower that will comprise 292 units, approximately one mile south.

The property was last purchased in 2002 for $303,800.

Valhalla Bakery building sells

The purchase of a building located at 2458 and 2462 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central district closed Jan. 17 for $1.4 million. The property is currently leased by Valhalla Bakery, whose owners announced via an Instagram post that it will be moving into Valkyrie Doughnut Shop, several doors down, in mid-February.

The 3,584 square-foot property includes 2,458 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and two studio apartments on the second. It was built in 1926 with a new roof installed in 2018 and an additional renovation in 2019.

The seller, Frozen River LLC, purchased the property in 2018 for $555,000. The buyer was Topflight Ventures III LLC, with offices in Matlacha, Florida. Patrick and Chris Calhoon of Calhoon Commercial Group represented the seller. Brian Zucker of Keller Williams Commercial represented the buyer.

North Redington Beach resort for sale

The Island House Resort, located at 17103 Gulf Blvd, North Redington Beach, has listed for $9.75 million. The two-story 24,700 square-foot property features 32 keys and 51 beds. It was built in 1970 and renovated in 2020 and 2022. Rooms include both queen and king-size beds, with some offering fully-stocked kitchenettes, complete with microwaves, refrigerators and stainless-steel cookware.

Outside is a nine-foot pool with a solar heater, updated lounge areas and pool deck, new pool lighting, electrical system and circulation pumps. There are three laundry rooms on site for staff and washers and dryers available for guests.

Also included in the sale is an additional third-acre that sits behind the hotel, formerly used for tennis courts, that can be used to install new tennis or pickleball courts or to increase the density of the property. The land has also been approved to build a single-family house.

Belleair home sells

Following over a year on the market, a 4,047 square-foot waterfront home located at 59 N. Pine Circle in Belleair sold Jan. 19 for $2.69 million. Located on a cul-de-sac with panoramic water views, the three-story property features four bedrooms and four baths and sits on a 9,614 square-foot lot.

The first level houses a three-car garage with a work space and bedroom with a full ensuite bathroom. On the second level is a chef’s kitchen, breakfast nook, open family and dining room, a bedroom, full bath and a laundry room.

On the top level is the primary suite with a bathroom featuring a freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower and vanity area. Another bedroom with an ensuite bath allows access to the widow’s walk.

Outdoors is an in-ground pool, 120 feet of protected waterfront, a new 20k pound boat lift and two new docks able to accommodate both small and large boats. The home was built in 2000 and a new roof was installed in 2023.

Government-leased building for sale

A newly renovated building, located at 602 S. M.L.K, Jr. Ave. in Clearwater, has listed for $1.325 million. The property is currently occupied by the Florida Department Of Corrections Probation and Parole Services, which signed a 10-year lease last November, with two five-year options to renew.

The 4,326 square-foot one-story property was built in 1964. Over $180k in renovations were made in 2023, including new electrical systems, plumbing, roof, air-conditioning units, ductwork, interior framing, insulation and fresh paint.

The 0.39-acre lot provides 38 parking spaces. This is a turnkey investment property that is ready for immediate ownership.

The property was last purchased by 469 Jewell Court LLC in 2020 for $295,500.
