The INEX (Inclusive Exclusive) networking event Sept. 21 at Coastal Creative will have a decidedly rock ‘n’ roll vibe.

A group of professional rock musicians with impressive credentials will perform at the gathering. Other musical genres will be represented.

“We’re highlighting everything local to St Pete – businesses, vendors, musicians, performers, artists, et cetera,’ said JoJo Kalita, Director of Talent & Strategic Initiatives for event producer Black Dog Music Partners, “and inviting them to party with prominent local and nationwide investors to make the necessary connections to take their businesses to the next level.”

According to Kalita, the evening will also serve as the launch parties for the apps Noted, a search platform for creatives, and Giggidy, the local music locator and booking platform.

Food and beverages will be available.

Lead guitarist Robert Sarzo (nickname Vudu Man) was a founding member of the glam metal band Hurricane (1983-89); his bassist brother Rudy was in the hitmaking Quiet Riot in those days.

After a brief Hurricane reunion in 2010, Sarzo joined a version of Queensyche fronted by that band’s former singer, Geoff Tate. For a while there were two “Queensryches” on the road; when the legalities were settled, the Tate-led band (which also included brother Rudy Sarzo) became Operation: Mindcrime.

The band also includes drummer Simon Wright, who was a member of AC/DC in the 1980s (he’s on the Fly on the Wall, Who Made Who and Blow Up Your Video albums), later a member of Dio; and Sean McNabb, bassist with Dokken (2009-14), and sometime member of Queensryche, Montrose, Great White and others.

Event tickets are available here.
