Peerfit, the digital health company that works with employers and insurance carriers to fully fund fitness experiences for their employees and members, announced today that Ulya Khan, a former Tivity Health Chief Operating and Product Officer and industry veteran, has joined its board of directors.
Khan has more than two decades of experience in the business technology and digital health sectors. She currently serves as an Operating Partner at Virgo Investment Group, as well as the CEO and President of Wemanage LLC, which provides seed and angel funding for startups in addition to coaching and advisory services for entrepreneurs and investors within the digital health and wellness industry. Khan previously served as the Chief Operating and Product Officer at Tivity Health and Chief Operating Officer at Aptus Health.
"Peerfit offers a unique, fresh and impressive fitness solution, which is relevant and appealing to aging boomers, as well as millennials. The variety, depth and breadth of its physical location network, combined with the latest digital streaming options, is exactly what the market needs," says Khan.
Khan's arrival marks the second female addition to the Peerfit board. She joins Virgo Managing Director and Healthcare Practice Lead, Pooja Goel, who joined the board in 2019.
"Peerfit is continuing on an exponential growth trajectory with our new product Peerfit Move, and our continued integrations with key insurance partners," states Chairman and CEO, Ed Buckley. "It's only natural to bring on Ulya and her depth of knowledge and experience in the industry to aid in that growth."
