The Live on Central concert series continues Saturday with an evening of rhythm and blues and neo-soul from hitmaker Anthony David.

Detroit’s J. Brown and St. Petersburg’s Alex Harris will also play sets at the 7:30 p.m. show, at the Floridian Social Club on Central Avenue.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, David’s voice has been compared to that of R&B legend Bill Withers (in fact, he released a Withers tribute album, Hello Like Before, in 2018).

He’s perhaps best known for his duets with singer/songwriter India.Arie, including the Grammy-nominated “Words,” and contributions to her platinum-selling debut album, Acoustic Soul.

Dr. Alex Harris is the co-founder and CEO of the Arts Conservatory For Teens, an arts-based after school program for disadvantaged and at-risk youth that works under a contract with Pinellas County Schools.

He is also a veteran singer/songwriter, recording artist and concert performer.

Tickets for Saturday’s concert are available here.
