Social Venture Partners Tampa Bay Fast Pitch Application open

Social Venture Partners Tampa has opened its application for the 2018 Business Accelerator & Fast Pitch competition. Do you have or know of a nonprofit with a social enterprise, or an amazing idea for one? Need a little guidance on how to make your nonprofit sustainable for the long term without relying on government funding? Grants have always been the tradition, but with Social Venture Partners, nonprofits can gain the skills needed in order to be sustainable for the long term without relying on government funding, while gaining the chance to compete for cash prizes in the Fast Pitch Event!

Social Enterprise is one of the most underutilized funding sources for nonprofits; SVP Tampa Bay is changing that. By providing ongoing support, access to resources, connections and information within the nonprofit and enterprise world, SVP is opening the door for organizations to be profitable for the long run, and provide much needed services in our community.

Social Venture Partners boasts a dynamic group of business leaders, mentors, and nonprofit experts. After participating in the six-week program, the organizations will then have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes at the Fast Pitch Competition.

2017’s inaugural Fast Pitch drew more than 450 guests from all walks of life. Contestants gained more than cash prizes that night – they gained valuable experience in telling their story, expanded exposure in the community, and new connections. Organizations are judged by a panel of six, as well as audience choice award. This year’s event will be held at the Palladium on October 25.
