St. Pete Eats with Wendy Wesley [Video]

Wendy Wesley, health education manager for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic, went into the kitchen to prepare a recipe from the recently released St. Pete Eats: A Cookbook. The cookbook is the result of a partnership between St. Pete deputy mayor and city administrator Kanika Tomalin and more than 30 beloved local restaurants.

In Wesley’s cooking demo in the Free Clinic’s teaching kitchen, she prepares a green apple cucumber salad from Punky’s Bar and Grill. It’s a refreshing dish that doesn’t require turning on the oven, making it a great choice for a hot summer day.

St. Pete Eats is available at retailers and restaurants featured in the book and also online. Proceeds from books purchased at participating local businesses will go directly to the business.
