St. Pete restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day

While many restaurant owners are closing up shop for Thanksgiving Day, others are keeping their doors open Thursday, serving special featured menu items. 

  • The Tap Room at the Hollander Hotel will be offering turkey dishes with traditional sides such as green beans, stuffing and cranberry sauce. Parties of six or more should make reservations for The Tap Room at 421 4th Ave. The special Thanksgiving service commences at noon. 
  • Other local hotels with dining options are also taking part in celebrating the event. The Don CeSar will be serving up its King Charles Thanksgiving Brunch Buffet, which includes eight timed entries, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hotel will be serving turkey, beef tenderloin and a seafood bar. The buffet items will include berry-stuffed French toast, chicken and waffles, orange-brined duck breast, garlic-rubbed lamb ribs, three pepper-crusted swordfish and additional dishes. 
  • The Vinoy will be featuring a three-course Thanksgiving spread at Paul’s Landing, located at 501 5th Ave. NE.
  • Regarding local standalone restaurants, One Night Stand Country and Rock Bar at 149 1st Ave. N. will be offering a free Thanksgiving buffet, according to its Facebook page. It opens at 6 p.m. and will start serving food at 7. It will be the bar’s 10th anniversary celebrating the holiday and the owners stated it will be the biggest one to date. 
  • Casis St. Pete at 170 Beach Drive will be open from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. The restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving turkey special. 
  • Bar548, at 548 Central Ave., will be hosting a pot-luck-style event where guests can bring side dishes and receive a discount on their order. Bar548 will provide the turkey and stuffing. 
  • The nautical-themed restaurant The Galley, at 27th 4th St. N., will be offering deviled eggs, a turkey buffet and other dishes as part of its Thanksgiving menu.  
  • Several restaurants in St. Petersburg are also staying open for Thanksgiving, including ParkShore Grill, at 300 Beach Drive NE, which will open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Birch and Vine at 340 Beach Drive NE, which will stay open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Additionally, nearby hotels will also be featuring specials. The Fenway Hotel, part of the Autograph Collection, will be hosting a Thanksgiving lunch and dinner at the HEW Chophouse at 453 Edgewater Drive in Dunedin. The feast includes butternut squash soup, house-smoked prime rib, honey-brined roast turkey, apple cranberry-stuffed pork roulade, desserts such as spiced praline bread pudding, sweet potato cake with marshmallow icing and much more. 
  • TradeWinds Island Grand Resort will have Thanksgiving specials at its PalmCourt Italian Grill and RumFish Grill restaurants. The RumFish Grill’s menu includes a traditional turkey dinner, lobster and herb risotto, and desserts such as pumpkin cheesecake.
