Tampa and St. Petersburg tech startups, real estate development groups and marketing firms are among the fastest-growing private companies.

The annual Inc. 5000 list recognizes the U.S.-based companies that have achieved massive revenue growth over the year. Less than one percent of U.S. businesses make the list.

A snapshot of the first 1,000 local companies on the list:

Ideal Agent: Rank no. 91: Ideal Agent is a Tampa startup that uses artificial intelligence to recruit top real estate agents. Established in 2016, Ideal Agent is one of the fastest-growing full-service real estate companies that connects home sellers with top-rated agents at various commission rates. Ideal Agent ranked on the list last year.

Valor Real Estate Development: Rank no. 133: The Clearwater-based real estate firm developed Serena by the Sea, a $70 million, 80-unit waterfront condo development between downtown Clearwater and Dunedin. It also developed SkyView, a 36-unit condo building in Clearwater. The group is also working on a new residential project in St. Petersburg.

Neptune Flood provides flood insurance policies to over 160,000 homeowners, renters and businesses in 48 states and Washington, D.C. “We’ve also expanded our offerings to allow for even higher coverage limits across our products while adding new optional coverages that provide protection that the government’s National Flood Insurance Program does not,” CEO Trevor Burgess said in a prepared statement.

Stoneweg US: Rank no. 773: St. Petersburg-based real estate firm Stoneweg specializes in multifamily acquisitions and developments. The group is developing a new plaza and apartment complex at the site of the dilapidated 110,500-square-foot Coquina Key Shopping Plaza. It also developed the Lake Maggiore Apartments, a 330-unit, mixed-income apartment development in St. Petersburg.

Gale Healthcare: Rank no. 831: Tampa-based Gale Healthcare, a leading technology-enabled platform that provides temporary workforce solutions for nursing homes and long-term care providers, has made the list for a second consecutive year.
