It’s that time of the year for Tampa Bay Tech’s virtual summit, and this year’s focus will be on emerging trends and challenges in the tech world born out of the pandemic, and spotlight growing startups.

This will be the fourth year of the innovative summit, which will take place Sept. 30 from noon until 5 p.m.

Harry Moseley, global chief information officer at Zoom (Nasdaq: ZM), has been tapped as the keynote speaker. He was also the keynote speaker last year

Elias Torres, the co-founder of Drift, will be another speaker at the summit. Drift is a startup co-founded by Torres, a Tampa-raised entrepreneur, and CEO David Cancel. Drift recently received a strategic investment that values Drift at over $1 billion, reaching the unicorn status.

Amanda Williams, smart packaging lead and Product Manager at St. Pete-based manufacturing giant Jabil Inc., and Steven Courtney, Director of Global IT and Enterprise Architecture at IT firm Accenture will also speak.

There will be several breakout panels.

  • The panel on cybersecurity will feature Avani Desai, President of Tampa-based IT firm Schellman & Co. and Jeremy Rasmussen, CTO at Tampa-based Abacode, which provides security information and event management. It will be moderated by Tony Urbanovich, the CTO of the Florida Center for Cybersecurity.
  • For this year, there will also be a women in tech CIO panel. The panelists include Meerah Rajavel of Fort Lauderdale-based software company Citrix; Melissa Fulmore Hardwick of Jacksonville-based CSI Tech, specializing in IT and tech staffing; and Regina Marrow of Tampa-based software provider ConnectWise.
  • There is a panel titled CEO2CEO, with Charlotte Baker of Tampa-based Digital Hands and John West of Atlanta-based Hire Velocity, which has an office in Lutz.

Registration for the event is open. It is free of cost to members. It is $25 for non-members. Those interested can register here.
