On March 30, 2019, US Federal Contractor Registration (USFCR) will host their “Finding Success in Government Contracting for Veteran-Owned Businesses” seminar. This live event will be held at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club between 1 pm and 6 pm. Tickets for the event are currently available on Eventbrite and they are buy one get one free for $90. This event will feature 10 years worth of federal contracting research in one day. Only 36 seats are left.

The U.S. Federal Government has a variety of initiatives and programs for veteran-owned businesses. This includes the SBA’s Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside (SDVOSB) and the Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) registration. The seminar will focus on how to gain access to these programs and their benefits as well as how to compete in the federal marketplace.

Prospective entrepreneurs who have served in the U.S. armed forces are also welcome to this event. Attendees are encouraged to prepare questions for the panel of federal contracting experts as well as bring copies of their capability statement for feedback. Not only will this seminar provide valuable insight into the federal contracting, but it will also serve as a great networking opportunity for veteran business owners.

Some of the areas this seminar will cover includes:

* How to find contracts
* How to subcontract
* How to network with prime contractors
* How to build your knowledge of the federal contracting industry

Each one of these areas is also a focal point in USFCR President Dan Driscoll’s new book “The 4 Paths to Success as a Federal Contractor.” The book is set to be released later this month. It will feature key strategies for federal contractors as well as inside advice that can only be gained from first-hand experience working in the federal contracting sector.
