@ the St. Pete Catalyst

The Daily Spark turns one month old this week, and that’s as good a reason as any to share a status report on the Catalyst – as well as some new additions to the site.

First – thank you.  Thank you for reading, subscribing and sharing our content. Thank you for contributing your words, ideas and support.   Together, we are starting to find our voice and improve our service to the St. Pete community.

If you haven’t yet already, please subscribe to the Daily Spark. You can do so by entering your name and email at the bottom of this page.  The Spark will arrive each business day to your inbox.  Catalyst content is always free.

If you’ve missed any of the previous Sparks – our first new addition to the site has you covered.  Every edition of the Daily Spark is now available in the Sparkive (yes – we did). See the link in the footer below to explore.

Also new: An events calendar. Four featured events appear on the homepage.  The rest can be found on the events calendar page, which can be accessed using the quick links below.

Finally, we’ve added the Wire.  This repository for press releases gives an extra outlet for local companies who want to share information, even if we’re not able to write an article about the news. It’s also available via the footer quick links.

Looking ahead, we are reworking the Influence -> Organizations section to more effectively celebrate the great companies in St Pete.  Our goal is to add 20 new companies over the next month.  You can help by submitting an entry for your company via the contribution center.

Speaking of contributing – we want to hear from you.  The Catalyst is community-sourced. If you have, or are connected to, a small business, solopreneur or artist – they should have a Hustle. Know someone that just made a career change? Share that with the community as a Shuffle. Our contribution center has an input form for these and more.
