After a year of virtual events, the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club will return to the in-person luncheon format Aug. 6 with an in-depth conversation about red tide, the problems and the possible solutions. The event (11:30 a.m. lunch, 12 p.m. presentation) takes place in the St. Petersburg Yacht Club Ballroom.

Experts from Pinellas County, and around Tampa Bay, will discuss the causes of red tide and its effects on our ecosystem, health, tourism and the Florida economy.

Seating will be distanced, and guests who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear masks at this event. We ask that those who are not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated to please wear a mask when not eating or drinking.

Costs is $25 for Tiger Bay members, and $35 for non-members and guests. Registration is here (deadline is 10 a.m. Aug. 6).
