Where to find fireworks on New Year’s Eve

Dozens of restaurants, hotels and nightclubs on both sides of Tampa Bay, have private New Year’s Eve parties scheduled, the package including all the amenities grown grown-up celebrating.
Here’s what will be lighting up the sky, without reservations, fees or obligations.
(First Night, the annual family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration in North Shore Park, was canceled in October, organizers citing a precipitous decline in financial support. The City of St. Petersburg, they said, pulled out of First Night in 2022.)
There will be midnight fireworks at the St Pete Pier Tuesday, part of the City’s Spa Beach party, 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Promised: Live DJs, a giant disco ball, an LED wall, food vendors, games and a full champagne bar.
Admission is free. The official website includes parking information.
Treasure Island: Midnight fireworks shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd.
Clearwater: Light it Up Clearwater blasts fireworks over the Gulf at midnight. This year’s display will take place on the northern end of Sand Key Park, although the park will be closed to the public. Viewing anywhere along the beach – the mainland, too – should be ideal.
Tampa. Nothing official this year from the City of Tampa, but there will be fireworks at midnight behind Armature Works, 1910 N Ola Ave., over the Hillsborough River (top ticket price to the Armature Works New Years’s Eve party, inside, is $200).
