Your daily dose of levity: St. Pete’s Virtual Tip Jar
Every day, we’re sharing what we’re reading, watching, doing and listening to … the things that bring levity to our own lives. We’ll also share random things we’re talking about, laughing about and smiling about on social media, in pop culture and beyond. We encourage you to share your daily sources of levity with us in the comments or on social media.
Today…
Local designer and all around exceptional human Adriana Generallo has put her extra coronavirus-induced free time to good use. Generallo, the VP of Client Experience at local marketing firm Big Sea spent her nights and weekends designing and building St. Pete Virtual Tip Jar. The Tip Jar supports local hospitality workers impacted by Covid-19 mitigation efforts, and provides each worker with their own personal listing.
Each listing includes a picture, connections to their Venmo or Cash App accounts, and their previous place of employment.
It looks like this:
“We’re inspired by other cities across the country that are looking for ways to support the staff of their favorite bars, restaurants, coffee shops, clubs, and salons,” Generallo wrote. “In an effort to show our appreciation and support, we’re compiling a list of St. Pete service industry workers and their Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal accounts to be shared widely.”
So tip your friends/favorite bartenders, baristas and servers! It’s the right thing to do.
