Development update: City Council moves two projects forward amid pandemic

The St. Petersburg City Council moved two projects forward during their first meeting held virtually via Zoom last week. Council members approved an extension of the due diligence period for a site at 600 26th Street South and moved forward a six-story building with 10 dwelling units and ground floor retail at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 6th Street South in downtown St. Pete.

Scrapped plan for Lucky’s in Clearwater leads to lawsuit

The developer of a planned Lucky’s Market in Clearwater has gone to court against supermarket giant The Kroger Co.

In a lawsuit filed April 1 in federal court in Tampa, Gulf to Bay LM LLC is asking that Kroger be ordered to complete the project.

Dynasty Financial draws new investor, creates new platform

A major player in the wealth management business is now an investor in Dynasty Financial Partners in St. Petersburg.

Marty Bicknell, CEO of Mariner Wealth Advisors, and his family-owned investment company, 1248 Holdings, invested in Dynasty through their partnership, BFFV20 LLC, a news release said.
