Tombolo Books is thrilled to kick off the 2024 event season with local author Katherine Snow Smith and her vunerable, hilarious memoir Stepping on the Blender!

As James Taylor’s “Carolina in My Mind” played, Katherine Snow Smith returned to her native North Carolina when her last child left the nest and a 24-year marriage ended. Back in Chapel Hill 30 years after graduating, the journalist, author and mother of three, found the insecurities of forging an unexpected path poured like cheap pitcher beer back in the day.

In Stepping on the Blender, Katherine shares stories of finding one’s place back home, parenting, dating, reporting, saying goodbye to a beloved father and teaching at her alma mater.
