Founder/Owner
What do you do?
CFP Home Inv. is a real estate investment firm and full-service design and build construction company. We advise clients on how to invest properly into a home, along with designing a gorgeous home that people enjoy showing off. We’re trying to solve St Pete’s ugly house problem one house at a time.
Why do you do it?
I love designing beautiful functional homes.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
Prior to starting my business, my boss told me I could only do what he did, so I set out to prove him otherwise. I think I have exceeded his expectations.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
In construction, I don’t know if people know how difficult it is to manage so many moving parts and changes on a daily basis. It’s a forever-changing business that requires constant hand-holding in order to do the job right and treat the customers with respect.
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
Herding turtles … haha, just kidding. Managing expectations. We are in an extremely busy market and contractors are running hard, and materials prices have risen significantly over the last several years. The hardest part is finding the balance between setting the right price for the customer and trying to find the risk-versus-reward price.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
Add true value to whatever you do or build. If you’re not adding true value to the market, the market will show you that you’re not.
