Hustle (job)

Owner & Chiropractor

What do you do?

I run the practice as well as treat patients. I offer a variety of services, with two of the most popular being adjustments and dry needling. I also do cupping, Graston, kinesiotape, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, traction and a couple of recovery tools.

Why do you do it?

I love helping patients and giving them the tools they need to live a healthy lifestyle! I’m passionate about health, wellness, and fitness and love sharing my knowledge and training with the community. It’s very rewarding helping patients get out of pain and also help people continue to live their healthy lifestyles by providing wellness care.

What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)

I never felt fully fulfilled in previous jobs as an associate chiropractor, and felt that I needed to go out on my own and start a practice that embodied who I am and what I stand for. I wanted a practice that stood for health and wellness and optimizing people’s potential to become the best versions of themselves. This pushed me to start my practice.

What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?

A common misconception about chiropractic is that the “popping” or “cracking” sounds when being adjusted are your bones breaking and that it hurts. That is totally untrue. Your bones aren’t breaking and it actually feels really good! The sounds you hear when being adjusted are gas bubbles being released in the joint as you manipulate those joints.

What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?

The challenging thing is making the time each day for myself to take care of my own body the way I advise my patients to take care of theirs. It can be tricky to fit in all the necessary things such as stretching, getting treatment myself, etc. But I know the importance of it, so I challenge myself to set time aside even throughout the busyness of starting my practice.

What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?

Just do it! There’s never a right time to start your business, and there will always be excuses you can come up with. You have to start somewhere, and from there you learn and grow and keep evolving to become the best there is.
