Indian Shores beachfront estate sells for $6.9M
A beachfront property nestled in the western corner of a neighborhood in Indian Rocks Beach has sold for $6.9 million.
The sale of the 4,148-square-foot home at 20256 Gulf Blvd. in Indian Shores is the largest estate sale in Indian Shores to occur within the last decade, Julie Folden with Coastal Properties Group International, who represented the seller, said to the St. Pete Catalyst.
The pink-painted home features a mural of hibiscus and other tropical flowers and offers a deep-water dock on the Intracoastal, located across the boulevard.
The four-bedroom, six-bathroom home, built in 2016, is situated next to a beach-access walkway. The home has been featured in several local periodicals due to its upscale and custom finishes, according to the listing.
Folden explained this was the seller’s second home and she didn’t live in it as much as she anticipated, and therefore put it on the market.
The seller has done numerous renovations to the property, including buying a generator and installing a new railing and new flooring. She also hired an artist to paint the exterior mural.
Since listing the home in 2021, Folden said they have received great interest from parties looking to purchase the home and use it as an Airbnb vacation rental property; however, the buyer has not expressed interest in using the home as an Airbnb.
Inside the home, there’s a large kitchen with an oversized center island and imported custom cabinetry with Taj Mahal marble counters. The kitchen also has Sub Zero appliances.
Other touches such as porcelain flooring can be found throughout the home.
The main bedroom connects to an expansive private balcony with an unobstructed view of the Gulf. The bedroom also offers a bar with a fridge.
Additionally, the property features a six-car garage, a pool, motorized storm screens on the terraces, an elevator, high-impact windows and sliders, a security system with an intercom and smart home capabilities among other features.
The o.22-acre property last sold in 2020 for $4.4 million, and was listed in July 2021 for $8 million.
Andrew Tsunis with Barkett Realty represented the buyer.
