Places This Week: Clearwater’s Big Storm Brewing for sale

Big Storm Brewing Co., at 12707 49th Street N., Clearwater has entered the market for an unknown price.

Formerly owned and operated by Clearwater businessman Leo Joseph Govoni, Big Storm Brewing joined a list of over 100 companies taken from Govoni by a federal bankruptcy court in early June following his arrest for stealing more than $100 million from a nonprofit he founded.

The 3.54-acre property features 47,552 gross square feet across four structures built in 1972, 1982 and 2006.

Included is a 16,000 square-foot brewery and tap room with sliding doors leading to a spacious patio with a bar, a 40-foot by 60-foot cold storage room, a walk-in cooler, kitchen, covered loading dock with five doors and overhead access, excess warehouse space and a two-story building for living/office use.

The fully built-out facility has the flexibility and infrastructure to support a variety of opportunities, including a tap room, restaurant, event venue or a light industrial operation. Furniture, fixtures and equipment are available to purchase offering a turnkey operation.

Govoni purchased the property under the registered name Big Storm Real Estate, LLC. In 2016 for $2.4 million. The listing is provided by Kaylan Knitowski and Madison Chaney with Franklin Street Retail Investment Sales.

Snell Isle single-family home sale highest this year

A 10,795 gross square-foot Snell Isle neighborhood home, with 7,640 square feet of living space across two floors, sold June 30 for $8.8 million – the highest price paid for a single-family residence in Pinellas County so far in 2025.

Tampa general contractor Donald C. Hughes purchased the 0.52-acre property at 105 Cordova Blvd. N.E., St. Petersburg in 2023 for $3.78 million. The existing structure was demolished and construction of the new home was completed in late 2024.

It features five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and one half-bath. The kitchen is equipped with Sub-Zero, Wolf and Alfresco appliances, along with wood cabinets and marble, quartz and quartzite countertops.

The owner’s suite has vaulted ceilings, two walk-in closets with custom organization systems, an ensuite bath with a free-standing tub and a large walk-in shower and a private balcony.

Interior amenities include a double-door front entry, engineered hardwood floors, tongue and groove ceilings, a family room with a fireplace and sound insulation in the owner’s suite.

Outside is an in-ground saltwater heated pool, a dog run, a four-car garage, a kitchen, a boat dock and lift and 73 feet of waterfrontage on Tampa Bay.

The property was first listed in October 2024 for $12.99 million, which, if reached, would have topped last year’s highest sales price of $11.4 million for a single-family home on St. Pete Beach.

The Hive Community Clay property for sale

A two-building property occupied by The Hive Community Clay, a pottery and art studio located at 559 and 563 49th Street S., St. Petersburg, has listed for $1.3 million.

Both built in 1949, the two structures, with a combined 7,675 gross square feet, are situated on a 0.37-acre parcel of land.

559 49th Street S. is a one-story structure with 6,318 heated square feet divided into multiple workshop, craft and storage rooms. The fully air-conditioned property has CCS-1 zoning, allowing for a range of possible uses including an art studio, micro-brew pub, food service, spa, nursery, retail, office or service space.

563 49th Street S. is a 1,282 heated square-foot office building that was renovated in 2023. It can be transformed into a living unit for an owner or tenant.

The property features 20 parking spaces, 167 feet of frontage on 49th Street S. and a pole sign that is grandfathered in.

Formerly an antiques mall and garden shop, the property was purchased by seller Carol Schubert in 2020 for $750,000. She founded The Hive St. Pete the same year. In 2024, Director Heather Tinnaro purchased the business and changed the name to The Hive Community Clay.

Tierra Verde home lists for $7.5 million

Completed in 2023, a two-story home at 491 Laguna Drive, Tierra Verde has listed for $7.5 million.

The 7,000 gross square-foot residence was designed by Miami-based Sire Design, whose owners are featured on the Netflix series Designing Miami and HGTV’s Divided by Design.

The elevated construction sits on a 0.36-acre lot. The home provides 5,251 square feet of living space across the two floors, including five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and one half-bath. An elevator connects the two levels. Attached to the home are two, two-car garages anchored by a 24-foot entrance foyer.

Interior finishes include oak plank flooring, Avocatus and Van Gogh onyx quartzite, CLE tile, walnut accents and Waterworks fixtures.

Largo cedar home sells in 12 days

The sale of a two-story, cedar-framed residence at 11209 Spring Street, Largo closed July 23 for $1.2 million. The 5,016 gross square-foot home was under contract following 12 days on the market and sold for $50,000 less than the asking price.

Inside is an open floor-plan with four bedrooms, two full baths and one half-bath. The great room features natural light, a fireplace, cathedral ceilings and wood beams. Additional rooms include a dining room, den and office.

Outdoors is a 12-foot pool, a jacuzzi, a cabana with a built-in bar and sound system, a firepit and a cascading waterfall.

Just a short walk from Indian Rocks Beach, the 0.89-acre fenced property overlooks a horse pasture and is landscaped with palm, hibiscus and plumeria trees.

The seller, represented by Meredith Johnson and John Vaughan with Realty Experts, purchased the property in 2019 for $500,000. The buyer was represented by Julie Folden with Coastal Properties Group International.

Four Monticciolo properties sell; two back on the market

In March, Monticciolo Family Holdings LLC, the registered owner of Monticciolo Family & Sedation Dentistry, listed for sale 12 lease-back properties across Tampa Bay – four in Pinellas County and each individually priced:

4850 1st Avenue N., St. Petersburg is a one-story structure with 3,212 gross square-feet. Situated on a 0.33-acre parcel of land, it was built in 1974 and renovated in 2016. The asking price was $2.093 million.

8381 Seminole Blvd., Seminole is a two-structure property, one built in 1981 and the other in 1985, with a total of 8,514 square feet. It sits on 1.03 acres. The asking price was $3.89 million.

1370 Main St., Dunedin is a one-story structure built in 1998 and renovated in 2021. It provides 4,960 square feet on a 1.20-acre plot of land. The asking price was $2.837 million.

40668 US Highway 19 N., Tarpon Springs is a 3,150 gross square-foot, one story structure. It was built in 1995 and is situated on a 0.51-acre parcel. The asking price was $2.178 million.

On July 16, Secure Properties, a New York-based real estate investment company, closed on the purchase of the four locations under the registered name SP Mon Dental Investor, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. The total consideration was $8.768 million – approximately $2.23 million below the combined individual listing prices.

Two of the properties have been put back on the market following new 15-year triple net leases signed by Monticciolo that will expire in July 2040.

The St. Petersburg location has been listed by Anthony D’Ambrosia and Josh Kanter with New York’s Surmount real estate platform for $2.395 million.

The Tarpon Springs location has been listed for $1.668 million by Justin Zahn with Commercial Investment Advisors.
