Keep Pinellas Beautiful High School Summer Workshops
Keep Pinellas Beautiful is offering summer workshops for high school students (graduating in 2026-2029) who are passionate about the environment. Students will learn leadership skills, gain an understanding of environmental issues, engage with experts in the field and participate in hands-on activities such as cleanups, hikes and invasive removals.
Two workshops are available:
Workshop 1: June 23-27 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Booker Creek Nature Preserve, 3940 Keystone Rd., Tarpon Springs. Click here to sign up for Workshop 1.
Workshop 2: July 21-25 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Weedon Island Nature Preserve, 1800 Weedon Drive N.E., St. Petersburg. Click here to sign up for Workshop 2.
Students can potentially receive up to 33 community service or Bright Futures Scholarship hours. A $25 application fee covers workshop activities, including tours and travel, and a light breakfast and snacks.

Zen4Blue Seeks Volunteer Brand Ambassadors
Zen4Blue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving marine life and promoting ocean conversation, is seeking volunteers to commit five to 10 hours per month and serve as brand ambassadors for their St. Petersburg Gulf Coast Field Office. Volunteers will spread awareness about the organization’s mission, promote events and engage the local community in ocean conversation efforts.
Key responsibilities will include social media content creation; helping with the setup, execution and breakdown of events; passing out flyers and promotional materials; selling event tickets; and encouraging others to volunteer.

Kids Can Cleanup
Roots and Shoots Tampa Bay, in partnership with Keep Pinellas Beautiful’s Youth Advisory Council and Tampa Bay Estuary Program, is hosting a Kids Can Cleanup event designed for kids in grades K-5, Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at John S. Taylor Park in Largo. Participants (accompanied by their families) will learn about the environment and help to clean up the park. An arts and crafts project will follow where kids can repurpose the trash picked up into creative art.
All supplies will be provided, including gloves, trash bags, trash pickers, sunscreen, bug spray, hand sanitizer and all arts supplies. Participants are asked to wear closed toe shoes, such as boots or sneakers. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended. A water refill station will be on site.

Dunedin’s Casa Tina Hosts Fundraiser for Film Festival
On Monday, June 16 from 5 to 10 p.m., Casa Tina Mexican restaurant in downtown Dunedin is hosting a fundraiser to support the Dunedin International Film Festival. The goal is to help the festival reach its end-of-year benchmark, which supports venue costs, filmmaker hospitality and year-round programming. The festival showcases independent films in local venues, including the Fenway Hotel, HOB Brewing Co. and the Scottish Cultural Center.
Casa Tina will donate 20% of all restaurant proceeds during the five-hour event. The restaurant is located at 365 Main St., Dunedin. Tickets are not required, but donations are accepted. Click here for more information.

World Oceans Day Celebration
Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Clearwater Marine Aquarium are seeking volunteers to help with the Aquarium’s World Oceans Day Celebration taking place Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Volunteers will help with exhibitor booth set-up and take-down and to man booths for Keep Pinellas Beautiful and the Youth Advisory Council, and provide information on programming and how to get involved. Two shifts are available:
- 8:30 am to 12 pm (includes helping all exhibitors with set-up)
- 11:30 am to 3 pm (includes helping all exhibitors with break-down)
All volunteers must attend a training June 5 at 7 p.m. at the Keep Pinellas Beautiful office, 5900 66th Street N., St. Petersburg. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is located at 249 Windward Passage, Clearwater. Parking is available in the garage for $15.

Morean Arts Center Glass Gallery Greeter
The Morean Arts Center is seeking volunteers for its glass studio. Greeters welcome guests into the studio, assess their needs and direct them to the hot shop for glass demonstrations. They act as a liaison by answering questions about the studio or other programming offered by the center. Volunteers are the catalyst for a positive museum experience by helping guests feel welcome and engaged with art.
Gallery hours are 12 to 5 p.m. and volunteers are needed from 11:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. Expect to be standing for long periods of time which maintaining a positive, friendly attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Oyster Shell Recycling with Tampa Bay Watch
Tampa Bay Watch is seeking the help of a few tenacious volunteers to support their Shells for Shorelines program. Volunteers are needed to assist in collecting oyster shell donations from Tampa Bay Watch's partner restaurants on a weekly basis, Monday - Friday during business hours. This opportunity is mostly flexible for your schedule. Responsibilities include picking up the shell, dropping them off at the curing pad, and delivering clean buckets to the restaurants.
It is strongly recommended that volunteers have the ability to lift 35 pounds, some sort of personal vehicle (preferably a pickup truck) capable of carrying up to ten 5-gallon buckets, and are comfortable with Florida flora and fauna typically associated with decomposition of organic matter. Additionally, a required training is offered on Fridays at 8 a.m. by riding along with our staff on their route meeting in Tierra Verde.

Manicure Volunteer with Menorah Life
Menorah Life senior assisted living facility is searching for eager volunteers to help pamper their clients. They want volunteers to give simple manicures to elderly long term care residents. Volunteers will help residents enjoy feeling special and cared for by painting their nails. No special experience is required, just a desire to put a smile on someone's face or brighten their day with a simple manicure. Scheduling for the opportunity is flexible, so you can help out whenever works best for you.
Menorah Life is dedicated to being the best they can for everyone who turns to them for help, and enhancing the lives of seniors. You can be a part of this by volunteering to help out with manicures.

Girls Rock Volunteer Event
Ready to be part of something magical? Become a Girls Rock volunteer and join the revolution by helping girls and gender-expansive kids step into their power. Whether you are seasoned crew or brand new to Girls Rock, connect with our chosen family of volunteers at our annual “Brewhaha” event, which is part social, part volunteer training, and ends with a rowdy arm-wrestling tournament for prizes and glory.
This event takes place Saturday, May 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Outcast Brewing. If you are interested in volunteering with Girls Rock, this informational session is mandatory for first-time volunteers.
The Girls Rock Summer Camp runs from July 14 to July 18 and ends with an epic concert at Jannus Live on Saturday, July 19. We need musicians, and also therapists, nurses, photographers, event planners, creative builders, street team crew, crafty ladies, ladies who aren’t ladies, and so much more! Dali Museum Greeter
The Dali museum is in search of volunteers to serve as museum greeters. These greeters will help with guiding visitors to the various galleries of the museum, advising visitors of public tours, both docent-led and self-guided, and answering any other frequently asked questions or inquisitions. The Dali museum is home to countless fascinating exhibits, and a museum greet would provide information regarding these exhibits to visitors.
